The Golden Rule–When Did It Become Optional?

Yes, Jesus said it. And it applies to people you like, people you don’t like, even people you disagree with. You don’t have to be gay to respect those who are. You don’t even have to be pro-gay; just be pro-love.

I believe Jesus would invite himself into the house of a gay person, as he did with other ordinary sinners. (Matthew 9:10, Luke 19:1-10) What He might say to them isn’t written in the Bible; he didn’t single them out or condemn them, as so many Christians do.

If you appreciate having basic civil rights, allow others to have them too.
